Frequently Asked Questions.

Lash Extensions FAQs.

  • Eyelash Extensions are individual strands of synthetic fibers made to replicate a natural eyelash. When applied, eyelash extensions lengthen and thicken your own natural eyelashes. The single strands are applied to each individual eyelash, one by one. With proper application, lash extensions look and feel completely natural.

  • They will last the length of the natural growth cycle of your own eyelashes. Keep in mind there are “shedding” seasons, so lashes may tend to fall out quicker during this time period. It will also depend on your day-to-day routine & how you care for your lashes. Fills should be booked every 2 to 3 weeks.

  • Brush with a clean mascara wand daily. If you wake up with wonky lashes or they are just not staying where they should, try washing your lashes with water in the morning and gently brushing the top side of the extensions with a finger placed beneath. DO NOT pick at your lashes or use a lash curler on them!

  • I recommend to wait at least 24 hours to get your lashes wet, so the glue has plenty of time to bond to your lashes. After that 24 hours, you are good to go back to your normal routine! However, keeping away from extensive contact with steam or chlorine is recommended to keep your lashes in tact. When the lashes are wet, be sure to properly dry and brush them to avoid fall out.

  • You shouldn’t need to add any mascara, as the lash extensions are meant to give you enough fullness and thickness. Mascara will also cause the lashes to clump and will take away the fluffy, natural effect of the extension. Eyeliner and eyshadow should be fine, just be sure to thoroughly clean your lashes after.

  • No! When applied properly, with perfect isolation and weight eyelash extensions should not damage your natural lashes!

  • If you would like them removed, I recommend to contact me to get them off ya! Or any other Lash Professional. It’s the safest way to remove them, without damaging your natural lashes. At home remedies can damage your natural lashes.

  • Allergic reactions to lash extensions is caused by an allergy to the main ingredient in the eyelash extension glue called cyancrylate. It is in every eyelash extension adhesive and it’s actually a reaction to the fumes released by the glue, not the glue touching your skin. If you have a good lash artist, the glue should NEVER touch your skin! If you feel like you are having a reaction after you leave your appointment, please contact me immediately!

  • Yes! Your natural lashes fall out anyway in a natural lash cycle. It’s just like any other hair on your body, it will regrow. That being said, you still need to be careful with the extensions, as ripping them from the natural root is not safe.

  • Yayyy! I love a lash newbie. When you arrive to your appointment, we will talk through your desired look. I’ll take a look at your natural lashes, and get a feel for the weight and size of lashes I need to use. If you are concerned about sensitivity, we can always do a test lash. I’ll have you lay down and get all cozy. I will then wash your lashes, prime them, and get you all taped up and ready to go! I can explain my process to you, if you feel it helps you be a little more comfortable! After that you can take a lash nap, spill all the chisme to me or have a jam sesh, and before you know it, you’ll open your eyes to some cute, new lashies!

  • It depends on a few factors! If we are doing a full set, it will take longer than a fill. It also depends on the style of lash you are getting. If you are getting full volume, it will take about 2 hours for a new set, as opposed to a classic set that may only take me about an hour. Fills can be anywhere from 45 mins to an hour. I don’t like to rush, so please make sure you are aware of the time frame when you are booking your appointment.

  • To be respectful of both of our schedules, I ask that you give at least 3 days notice when cancelling. I understand that last minute things may happen, so please just be as communicative with me, as I will be with you. I hold myself to the same standard and will do my best to not cancel on you. If you are a no call, no show, you are still responsible for the full amount of the appointment.

  • Because I do more than Eyelash Extensions, I do have a booked and full schedule. I do offer quick fills, but I ask that you book them at least 3 days in advance to make sure I can get you in. I will do my best to accommodate you, but please know that I may not be able to squeeze in last minute fills.

  • I totally get that things happen and I’m the queen of running late to functions, but when it comes to my clients, I will do my best to be early or on time, so I ask the same of you! Just give me a heads up if you a running a little late! If you think you will be more than 30 minutes to your appointment, we will need to reschedule your appointment.

  • I have a cozy, in home studio that I prefer my clients come to! I need a lot of supplies when lashing, including a humidifier and full lash bed. That’s a lot to transport! If you absolutely cannot travel to me, I can come to you for an additional travel fee of $100.
